Education has always been one of the key focus areas for Microchip Technology Inc., one of the leading provider of microcontroller, analog and Flash-IP solutions. It announced its first scholarship awards’ programme in India to recognize budding talent in embedded systems design and electronic engineering and provide upcoming talent the opportunity to work on the latest technology in embedded architecture and awarded 22 students from various colleges. In the first year, students from IIT Chennai, IIT Delhi, NIT Kurukshetra, PES College (Bangalore), Manipal Institute of Technology (Karnataka), SDM Institute of Technology (Ujire), Nami Chand College of Engineering, Panipat, Haryana and K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (Mumbai) have been chosen for scholarships. Reward ceremony has held at Hotel TAJ Bangalore. The reward has been given by Mr. Steve Sanghi CEO, Microchip and Mr. Ramesh Babu, Microchip’s sales manager in India.
